He apologized several times for the wait. ![]() Finally, he said he would go check on the merchandise and came back within a few minutes with my bag. I asked him some questions about the new iPhone, what they could do at the Apple store, what AT &T had to do, etc. Also, he essentially «ordered» the shuffle I bought to be brought to us on the floor, so we waited for that, once he brought back the receipt. I wanted a printout, so he needed to go get that. He swiped my card on his handheld computer, and asked if I wanted the receipt emailed to me or a paper printout. I told him what I wanted, asked a few questions, and decided to buy. I waited a little while, enjoying playing around the products near me, and someone showed up. It then told me that the person would meet me where I was, told me how many minutes to expect to wait and what number I was in line. How is this possible when I confirmed the serial number twice over the phone? Then it became pretty clear that the representative told me I was covered in order to get me in the store. Why did the price change? The representative at the store said I DID NOT have apple care plus, and that the «Randy I spoke with must have copied down the wrong serial number». Well here’s the BAIT AND SWITCH, people: when I arrived at my designated «Genius Bar» appointment, explained to the «genius» that I knew I was covered, would only be needing my screen replaced, etc, he quoted me $ 130! What. He informed me that I did, indeed, have apple care plus, so the screen replacement would only cost me $ 99. I read the serial number to the representative, Randy, off of the original packaging that my phone was purchased in. Dropped by to get my phone screen fixed, but called the apple care phone number first to make sure I was covered under Apple Care Plus. ![]()
